Last week I spend a day with one of my friends. We had a great time looking over the work from my sessions with Jane Dunnewold Art Cloth Mastery program. We talked dyeing, rusting and just had a great visit.
At the end of our visit we took a piece of fabric I’d rusted several years ago and decided to do some eco printing on it. Since the fabric already had iron in it, we didn’t add any additional iron to most of the leaves. The only one we dipped in iron water are the long thin leaves.
I love how it came out. All of the leaves were dried except the really dark ones which were fresh maple leaves.
Looks great, don’t you think.
Linking up to Nina Marie’s Off the Wall Friday. Head on over and check out all the beautiful work.
